I jumped on the Traveler’s Notebook bandwagon a while ago, and let’s just say I am a fan. No, that’s not quite it… more of a collector… okay maybe hoarder is more accurate. HA! HA! Don’t judge me! At last count there were four notebooks in my collection. See? That’s not too bad right? I have actually been using them in a variety of ways, from planning, list making, note taking, sketching, journaling, and everything in between.
The latest one in my collection is a canvas notebook that I made by decorating a piece of canvas with glimmer mists, ink, stamps, and a few other mixed media items. Once all of the paint and ink was dry, I whipped out the sewing machine and stitched a messy border around the notebook cover. Then I strung a few decorative keys on the elastic wrap for a final finishing touch.
List of Supplies used: Canvas material, sewing machine, thread, Beacon Fabri-Tac, Elastic, Crop-o-dile, Eyelets, Canvas Corp Brands Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (several colors), Punchinella, Acrylic Paint
Coming soon… I will share how to create the journals that fit inside of this handmade Traveler’s Notebook style journal.
